Mardelle Eisenbach Sutherland 95 of Port Orange, Florida passed away on November 22, 2019. She was born on January 20, 1924 in Haw Creek, Florida to the late Hervey Alexander and Neva Brown Eisenbach.
Mardelle graduated from Bunnell High School and attended Florida Southern College and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. She enjoyed exploring different career paths during her working years such as being a teacher in the Volusia County School System, a Social Worker for the Florida State Welfare Board, a secretary at Oak Ridge National Laboratories and in her later years at her husband’s law office.
Mardelle also volunteered her time and talents for many organizations, but her greatest talent was being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Sutherland; brother, C.B. Eisenbach and his wife Leona; great-grandson, Luke Michael Zachry.
Survivors include her children, Debbie and her husband Jesse Swords, Neva and her husband Greg Reardon, Holt Sutherland III, Feryl and her husband Tory Tyner, Glenn and his wife Angie Sutherland; grandchildren, Michelle Zachry (Rich), Shane Swords (Elizabeth), Erin Reardon, Josh Reardon (Ann), Marin Zanotti (Jeff), Lizzy Sutherland, Nathan Tyner, Rainey Tyner, Sydney Anne Sutherland, and Dillard Sutherland; great-grandchildren, Julia, Lillie, Dylan, Crue, Cole, Neva Jane, Matthew, Eleanor and many more relatives and wonderful friends.
Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Shriners Hospital for Children or Doctors Without Borders.
